WE ARE HERE!
After a 23 hour travel day...we were and still are beat! The flight was uneventful. The flight was very comfortable besides not getting much sleep because of playing with Ana and watching unlimited movies. BUT I will say that after 8 hours when I looked at my watch and saw I had 5 more hours...I was not happy. When we arrived in Seoul Ana was sleeping hard and she sleep through us going through customs, immigration, getting our bags, and getting through the quarantine line for the cats. She woke up right when Marc went to get our car. When she saw him she was squealing and squarming to get down. She was still waking up and wobbled over to Marc screaming and they were both so happy. I love seeing them together! We had an hour ride home to our apt. and when we walked through the door Marc showed Ana her room and she played with ALL her toys and was just SOOO happy. Giggling, hugs and kisses for everyone!
For the last two mornings Ana has woken up at 1am and gets in bed with us. Then tosses and turns til 3ish. Today we got up at 4am and made breakfast. She took her nap today from 8am til 11ish. Everyone says it takes a week to get over the jet lag. It's been hard to get on a time schedule! I'm glad we are together again and I look forward to getting into a routine!

This is the main gate to the base. We have been here two days now and have been to the base both days. First day, to get me and Ana in the systems and do some shopping to get up and running in our apt. Today, we did more shopping and went to our friends apt.
It's a really nice base with a "Chirri" (aka Chili's), Starbucks, and a wonderful BX-"meda" and Commissary-"meda" (because everything ends in "meda" it seems like) that have just enough "American stuff "to get by.

One of Marc favorite restaurants is "Sawatdee". I got a curry dish...the LEAST amount of spicy I could order and it KILLED me. I seriously couldn't eat it because it was TOO spicy. And I eat jalepanos, so I'm not a pansy when it comes to hot foods! I ended up eating half of Ana's fried rice meal. Next time I'll choose another dish! :)
Ana has decided she LOVES peanuts! She figured that out on the plane ride out here. Also chopsticks are her new favorite toy.

SO after a decent night of sleep. I wake up the FIRST day in our apartment and looked around with "not so tired" eyes and saw FUNK! When I realized those tiles in our kitchen AREN'T gray...I got so grossed out. I spent ALL day cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms and as I was scrubbing...NOT KIDDING, a stinch was oozing out of the walls. Candles are saving me right now.
This WAS in our nasty kitchen.
YES...that is a flippin SCRAPPER in my hand! No sponge was gonna get it clean.
This is our kitchen after I "defunkitized" it. Not bad! No dishwasher...but a huge sink. The cabinets are nice and the kitchen is a good size to work with. SO after this drama of FUNK, I was talking with a friend here and she has an "Agema" (maid) that comes every week. SO I met her today and her first day is this coming Monday! Yippee! Cause I'm scared to clean anymore!

This is NOT my dream home by ANY stretch of the imagination, BUT the bottem line is we are together, Ana has her daddy, and we only have 11 months left! :) We have 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. It's rather big compared to the apts. on base! Saw our friends apt on base today and believe it or not, I'm glad we live here.
This is our front door from the outside. No keys...it's a code and a click...kind of a scary steel heavy door! There are two apts. per floor. I haven't met our neighbors yet. This apt. complex has Koreans living here as well.
