The Forbidden City was built in 1406 and is a COMPLEX of 800 buildings! It was the Chinese Imperial Palace and home to 24 emperors from the Ming and Qing Dynasty. This complex is built with "fungshui" principals. VERY FASCINATING! The Forbidden City ceased to be the political center of China in 1912 and is the world's largest surviving palace that covers 178 acres.
