Happy Turkey Day!

WE ARE BACK IN KOREA!!! That was a quick two months. Loved every minute of it...but was ready to get back to our routine and complete this chapter before we move on to TX. This is us RIGHT after we landed and were waiting for the bus to take us to our hotel. Nice huh?

THIS is how you entertain a monkey on a 14.5 hr flight from Dallas to Seoul!

We got to Seoul the night before Thanksgiving and we had plans to meet the squadron at Dragon Hill (military resort on an Army base in Seoul) for Thanksgiving. The hotel had a great buffet and everything tasted pretty close to right. :) There were about 4 to 5 of these tables filled with all our AF family and it was a great way to catch up after being gone for SO LONG!

Our poor jet lagged little girl....trying to be alive for dinner.

She woke up when we told her she could touch the ICE TURKEY...loves ice! We have been home about 6 days now and the blog is FINALLY caught up and Marc goes to work today. Marc's mom and her husband are here...we got home just in time to pick them up from the airport the day after Thanksgiving. SO we are all fighting jet lag together. :) They will be here until the 12 Dec. We all leave for a trip to Thailand on the 3rd! We will be there for the week. Our LAST big trip before we move!

Our TEXAS house!!

We found a great brand new house out 1604 and Bulverde Rd! Kinda in the "Texas Hill Country"... 2800 sqft. 3 car, 3 bedrooms (all upstairs), office, family room, loft/playroom (upstairs), HUGE yard with about 10 mature oak trees, in a cul de sac. We are set!

25606 Kicking Bird!

You walk through the front door and this formal dining room is to the right.

Walk through the front door and the stair and foyer are there.

From dining room looking at "office" and to the left is the kitchen.

They were still working on the back splash...grouting it. Granite counter tops, deep stainless sink, black appliances... LOVE IT! I didn't get a picture of it, but the family room is to the right of the kitchen.

Opposite the kitchen is the breakfast nook.

Monkey in the pantry...funny story...we are in the family room and all of a sudden we hear, "Daddy up top....Mommy up top"...this is where we found her! Can't take your eyes off her for a second!!!

Master Bath...ooohhhh awwwhhh! :)

Master Closet!
Yes, I might just sleep in there! :)

My favorite oak tree in our backyard!

LOTS of potential for this backyard....playground equipment, gazebo, Marc wants to extend the back porch...hot tub maybe? YIPPEE! We DO have a big ole guest room so you are more than welcome starting in March of 2008! :)

Happy Halloween Korean Princess!

While in Texas we celebrated HALLOWEEN! We did two pumpkin festivals, went to a Halloween party, carved two pumpkins, made Halloween cookies AND trick or treated in San Antonio with our friends.
This was at our first pumpkin festival. She won that "squishy" toy that she took everywhere with her for a couple of days...it finally died. :)

She got a kick out of painting pumpkins!

This was at our Halloween party! This is our little "Russian Mafia"! All three were adopted from Russia! :) If the Russians could see them now!

At the party we played games and this was the "mummy wrap"! It was hilarious!

Carving this pumpkin with John Baylor! Love the face!

Cool hay tractor at this pumpkin festival!

I felt so badly for this chicken...but she just wanted to love it. I only put it through her torture for a brief minute... :)

Making Halloween cookies with Nathan...so sweet.

Carving pumpkin number two with Nathan!

FINALLY...It's HALLOWEEN! This is our little Korean Princess!

Nathan and Ana went trick or treating together and were so cute!

" BIG PUMPKIN"

We stayed at Nathan's house for two weeks and loved every minute of it! They are great buds!

THE LOOT! YUM! A very fun and successful Halloween!

Felicia and Pete's Wedding!

The WHOLE reason for our trip to Texas in the first place was for Felicia and Pete's wedding on the 20th of Oct! Felicia and I met 15 years ago at SHSU in Kappa Delta Sorority! She has been one of my closest friends ever since. She promised to visit me wherever we are stationed and she has kept her promise. She and her sweet husband will be out here in Korea the 28th of Dec. to celebrate New Year's together! BUT you can't have a wedding without a bachlorette party! It has been tradition for all of us to have the token "penis water bottle"...however it isn't filled with water BUT with whatever the BRIDE would like... :) Her party was in Houston with about 25 wonderful ladies!

This is us half way through the night. Marina, also a very close to my heart, was 9 months pregnant being QUITE the trooper! This was my FIRST night away from Ana and I have to say it was WELL worth it!

Here are my sorority sisters being silly a couple days before the wedding! I LOVE THEM!!

Uncle Pete and Aunt Felicia loving on my little girl!

The Rehearsal Dinner! Tomorrow is "The Day"!

It's here! She was a BEAUTIFUL BRIDE!!

Would you have it any other way? WORD! :)
Can't wait for your visit!

Texas Family

My dad's side of the family lives in Texas so we will have a great 3 to 4 years with them! Yippee! This is my Uncle Lester, Aunt Carol, and Cousin Danny! Ana and I stayed with them for about two of our SIX weeks in TX! Danny is a freshman at Texas A&M so that explains his hair here! :) LOVE the Aggies stories Danny...and congrats on the win of t.u.!! Aunt Carol and Cousin Kristin are helping Ana make a monkey at Build a Bear. This monkey is her new favorite snuggle bedtime friend.

Aunt Brenda and her family live in Austin and we were with them for the week of our birthdays. Brenda is a FABULOUS cake baker so we had a yummy cake to share. THANK YOU!

Cousin Brian is on the far left and we were all at a pumpkin festival together. There were lots of fun games to play and we had a blast!

Turns out that cousin Tyler is an excellent swing pusher and Ana wanted him to play with her in the backyard continuously....she loves her cousin Tyler!

Aunt Erin came down from the Dallas area for a quick visit and it was so fun to play with her too!

Granddad and Lynn got us a birthday cake and we had a little party the week of our birthdays. We were so spoiled with all our cakes and gifts! It will be fun for us to be in Texas! Can't wait to get back!

Texas Friends!

We were with a lot of our friends who have kids Ana's age and she had a blast with them all! I love how all our kids get along and I'm excited that they will have the next 3 to 4 years together! Nathan Claborn is a friend that was there when Ana got off the plane from Russia! We knew the Claborns in Phoenix and now Nathan's daddy is in Korea with us. We will be stationed in San Antonio together for the next 3 years and can't wait to continue playgroups together! They were playing at a gymnastics center here and we will drag this picture out when she wins her first gold in gymnastics! Hee hee!

This is Chelsea and "Lunch" Lott. Their mom is a great friend of mine from SHSU days!

Here are my Kappa Delta Sorority sisters and our SIX girls! Many legacies to come...We went to the Houston Zoo together. VERY FUN!

Then we took the girls to Libby Lu's for a fun day of dress up and make up! Ana loved it and so did all the moms!

This is Paige and Harley. Harley was partly my dog in college days. When Jenny (Harley and Paige's mom) and I started our lives after graduation...Jenny took our dog. Paige and Ana have become great friends and Ana couldn't get enough of Harley kisses!

This is Linette and her two boys who were also adopted from Russia. We call our little trio "The Russian Mafia". Linette and her husband have a wonderful house out in the country where Ana loves to go feed the fish and cows! They also live in San Antonio so it will be great to see our Russian cutie pa tooties grow up together and have their special bond grow!

This is Linette's sweet husband Johnny! And this is a better picture of the boys...Walker and John Baylor!

This is Ana, Kathryn, Claire, and Katy! We knew them all in Alaska, AND Phoenix...can't wait to get back to play with everyone!
